Project Description

Prestigious, waterfront development located on Varsity Parade with frontage to Lake Orr.

The project was a 2009 Finalist in the UDIA Qld Awards for Excellence - Large Medium Density Development.

Constructed in two stages, the development incorporated small lots with common build to boundary property lines accommodating double story dwellings, some of which being the SOHO product (small office at home).

Features include inverted laneways, pavement and threshold treatments, four parks linking Varsity Parade to the waterfront including community areas with shelters, seats etc, onsite underground irrigation tank and boardwalk along Lake Orr’s water edge.

The nature of development required innovative servicing solutions outside standard Council guidelines. In particular, new concepts for roads, stormwater and roofwater drainage and sewer reticulation were derived in coordination with the development managers and Council authorities.
